It all started with Karla’s desire to share dishes that reminded her of home and the meals lovingly prepared by her mom and grandma. The birth of our daughter was the spark that led us to create something of our own and to pass on the love for Mexican culture and cuisine.

At “La Ingrata,” we’re not only serving up authentic tacos, tortas, and cemitas, but also our passion for Camden. We collaborate with the community, rolling up our sleeves to make our neighborhood an even better place.
The secret? Authenticity. We bake our own bread, craft our Oaxaca-style quesillo, and cook up our Toluca-style chorizoa amoungs others. Our aim is to transport you with every bite directly to the traditions and flavors of Mexico.
It wasn’t an easy road getting here. We’ve worked in different restaurants, and during the pandemic, we started selling bread to keep afloat. That spirit of resilience and creativity led us to create “La Ingrata,” a place where everyone is welcome to enjoy great food and good company.
