AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD FROM SECRET FAMILY RECIPE

Welcome to La Ingrata

You Only Deserve Exceptional. Upon crossing our doors, you will be greeted by the irresistible aromas of fresh spices and authentic ingredients that we use in each dish. Our menu is carefully crafted to provide you with a unique culinary experience, featuring dishes that capture the essence of Mexico's rich culinary heritage.

Passing on the love for Mexican culture

Our story began in the kitchen — two chefs grinding through long hours under the same roof, united by passion and perseverance. Karla carried the flavors of her mother’s and grandmother’s cooking, while Ernesto brought years of experience and deep Camden roots. What started as hard work became a true culinary romance. The birth of our daughter inspired us to build something of our own - a place to share our culture, and our commitment to the community we proudly call home every single day.

The secret? Authenticity.

We bake our own bread, craft our Oaxaca-style quesillo, and cook up our Toluca-style chorizo amongs others. Our aim is to transport you with every bite directly to the traditions and flavors of Mexico. It wasn’t an easy road getting here. We’ve worked in different restaurants, and during the pandemic, we started selling bread to keep afloat.

Experience authentic Mexican cuisine

That spirit of resilience and creativity led us to create “La Ingrata,”. Karla and Ernesto are not only business partners but life partners that share a clear vision: to make “La Ingrata” the spot that combines tradition and freshness to experience authentic Mexican cuisine in a relaxed and cozy atmosphere. Karla and Ernesto are waiting with open arms to share with you a part of their story and their love for Mexico. See you soon at “La Ingrata”!

What our guests are saying

You can taste the love at this place. Everything was super fresh. They have a really good weekend brunch menu too. The waitress didn't really speak English, and none of us speak Spanish, but she was super sweet, and we managed just fine.

I tried this restaurant today for an early dinner, and it was delicious. I had the birria tacos, and since I couldn’t decide between the hibiscus tea or the horchata, I had both. Everything was delicious, and the service was very attentive and welcoming. I plan to bring a bottle of wine next time, as it’s BYOB!

Stopped in at LA Ingrata for lunch on Friday. The food was amazing and fresh. Had carnitas tacos and asada tacos. The staff and owner were extremely welcoming, and service was on point. This is a definite must-try, and we will be back!
