La Ingrata: A Melody of Meals and Meaning
La Ingrata was founded by Karla Torres and Ernesto Ventura, who brought their culinary traditions from Mexico City and Puebla to Camden. For them, cooking is about time, care, and staying connected to their roots. Today, every dish is made from scratch using techniques passed down through generations, reflecting patience, pride, and family spirit.
The name, inspired by a Café Tacvba song, honors Karla’s memories with her mother and the love that flavors every bite.
Simple Food, Done the Right Way
The mission is clear: serve real Mexican food made fresh every day in a space that feels open and welcoming. Nothing is rushed. Tortillas are made in-house, and dishes are prepared with attention and consistency. The focus stays on honest cooking, friendly service, and a casual setting where guests can relax. The goal is not trends, but food that feels familiar, filling, and thoughtfully prepared.
More Than a Place To Eat
This restaurant is proud to be part of the Camden community. The team supports local partnerships and hosts cultural events like Cinco de Mayo, Day of the Dead, and Posadas. Guests often notice the owners’ presence and the care shown by the staff. With a modern yet cozy space and colorful outdoor seating, it’s a spot where families, friends, and visitors feel comfortable staying awhile and coming back.
